| The application form for the 2013 Junior Deputy Clerk Summer Internship Program is now available through
May 3, 2013.
When will the program run?
The program will be held from June 17th - July 26th.
The hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The student must be able to commit to the entire program.
Those students who will be enrolled in summer school,
summer camp or other activities that will prevent working the
duration of the program are encouraged not to apply.
What is the program about?
The program is designed to expose students to different civil service careers. Interns receive hands on experience, interviewing skills, life skills training and career development to help prepare them for the workforce. Students are expected to work 30 hours a week during a 6 week period.
Will students be paid?
No, wages will not be paid but the students will receive valuable hands-on work experience. In addition, the internship (100+ hours) will satisfy the Community Service criteria required for many high school students. All students are subject to the applicable COSC employee rules, policies and procedures.
How do students apply?
Applications are being from accepted until May 3, 2013 at 11:59PM. Only complete applications will be accepted. Students must be rising 10-12 grade high school students to participate in the program.
