ACTIVITIES PROHIBITED

 

*PR-1600-1 - Political Activity.

No employee shall use or seek to use, directly or indirectly, his official authority or Influence for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the result of a political election, nomination or referendum provided however, that the foregoing shall not be interpreted or construed so as to abrogate or abridge the right of any such employee to express his political opinions, vote, seek elective office or otherwise participate in political undertakings in accordance with applicable law and Personnel Regulations, provided, however, that any non-elected employee (Classified or Unclassified) who runs for any public office shall be placed on LWOP under the provisions of PR-12OO-11 - Leave Without Pay (LWOP).

PR-1600-2 - Undue Influence.

No employee shall use, seek or promise to use, directly or indirectly, his official authority or influence to secure for any persona position, promotion, pay increase or other employment advantage or consid­eration with respect to the Classified Service or specialized treat­ment or consideration with respect to any official function or operation of Fulton County.

 

PR-1600-3 - Contributions.

No employee shall be required, coerced, expected, induced or encouraged as a condition of employment in any form whatsoever to make any contribution, loan, subscription or assessment for any political campaign, candidate or organization or for any other political purpose, and no employee shall use, seek or promise to use his official authority or influence, directly or indirectly, in connec­tion with the solicitation or receipt of any such contribution, loan, subscription or assessment.

 

PR-1600-4 - Affiliations.

No question in any examination, application or personnel forms shall be framed so as to elicit the political, social or religious affilia­tions of any applicant or employee. Any voluntary disclosures thereon shall be disregarded and there shall be no discrimination because of such disclosures.
