Arivey Meeks' Bio
Arivey Meeks is currently serving as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior Courts' office; he assumed the position in 2008. Prior to working in this position, Arivey Meeks worked as the Information Systems Manager in the Clerk's office for three years. Chief Meeks held the position of Information Technology Network Manager for Fulton County Government before joining the Clerk's office in 2005. Arivey was employed as a student worker during the day and a Industrial Engineering Auditor for United Parcel Service (UPS) at night while in college. Due to his strong commitment to school and work, he was successful in securing a fulltime position as the University Lab Coordinator at Jackson State University before completing his degree. Arivey also held this position for three years and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. He has over 15 years of experience working in government and management positions.

As Chief of Staff in the Clerk's office, Arivey is responsible for supervising a staff of over two hundred individuals, overseeing operations and management of the Clerk's office, while providing direction to the Clerk’s Leadership Team. Chief Meeks oversee five major computer systems and overall technology initiatives for the office. His duties also include representing the Clerk at local, State and national events.

Arivey joined Fulton County Government in 2000, as the Information Technology Network Manager. He held the position until 2005, before transferring to the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office as the Information Systems Manager.

Arivey, a firm believer in continuing education, has received several degrees and certificates in a variety of fields that strongly support his role as Chief of Staff. He received a Master’s Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelors Degree of Business Administration from Jackson State University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, a Cisco Certified Network Professional and a member of the FBI Infra-Gard Security Association. Arivey is also a licensed Georgia Real Estate Agent.

Arivey Meeks is a native of Mississippi, reared by his grandparents, who instilled principles of hard work, determination, perseverance, and to never stop excelling in education and lending a hand to help others in need. Arivey has been married over 12 years to Aisha Gardner Meeks, a CPA he met while attending college. He is a proud father of a little girl and dedicated member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Arivey is committed to providing quality customer service, developing employees, and operating efficiently. His business background has resulted in delivering innovative thinking and creating solutions in improving many of the offices technological and administrative challenges. It is his knowledge, ambition and professionalism that has allowed him to become the first African-American male to serve as Chief of  Staff in the Fulton County Clerk of Superior Court's office.
